Privacy Policy

Who we are and what this covers

Mewvori is a digital-pet service operated by Long Zhao, based in China. This Privacy Policy covers the Mewvori mobile app and website (together, the “Services”). The Services are currently intended for adults aged 18 or older located in the United States.

Information we process

Account and profile information: authentication details supplied by your sign-in provider, including an email address where provided, your display name, and language and time-zone preferences.

Pet and activity information: your pet’s species, name, state, care history and care-inventory balances; the habit categories you choose; check-ins and related summaries; and structured memories and story events created by the Services. These records support the app’s features and are associated with your account.

Optional community leaderboard: if you choose to enroll, the app makes your display name, avatar (including an uploaded photo, if selected), pet name and species, and the selected leaderboard’s eligible check-in days and rank visible to other leaderboard users. Enrollment is optional and can be withdrawn.

If you allow push notifications, we process a device token and notification preference to deliver them.

Diagnostics and measurement: when the relevant Firebase services are enabled and the applicable consent allows them, the app may send limited analytics events and crash diagnostics. These SDKs are optional in the current build. We do not intentionally include your name, email, or free-form conversation text in analytics events.

Website request data: the marketing website has no account, newsletter, or contact form. Our hosting provider may process technical request data such as IP address, browser and device information, and access logs to deliver and secure the site.

Information we do not collect for the service

Raw sensor streams are designed to stay on your device. The app may use on-device summaries where a feature is enabled; it does not send raw sensor readings or precise location to Mewvori’s service. We do not ask for your contacts or date of birth.

Mewvori does not sell personal information. Health-related signals are not used for advertising or tracking.

Analytics, advertising, and consent

Analytics is disabled unless its service and the applicable privacy consent are enabled. An optional app-open advertisement may be requested only when the feature flag is on and Google’s consent flow permits it. If consent is not available, the advertising SDK is not initialized for that request.

Mewvori does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA). On Android, Google’s advertising service may process the device advertising ID when a permitted ad request is made. Available Google consent choices can be managed through Google’s consent form where offered and through device settings.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate your account, provide and secure the Services, maintain your pet and story, honor your preferences, send notifications you allow, measure reliability and app usage where consent permits, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to operate the Services, including Vercel for website hosting; Supabase for authentication and app data; Firebase services for push delivery and, when enabled, analytics or crash reporting; Google’s consent and advertising services where enabled; and Apple or Google when you choose their sign-in or platform services. These providers process information under their own terms and our service arrangements.

Some story text may be generated with an AI model provider if that feature is enabled. The provider and its privacy, retention, training, and regional terms must be confirmed before personal information is sent for processing. Until those terms are verified, sensitive information is kept out of model processing and template output is preferred.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect people and the Services, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not share personal information with data brokers or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and deletion

While your account is active, we retain information needed to provide the account, pet, check-in, memory, and community features. Structured memories are minimized over time under product rules.

You can request account deletion in the app or at /delete-account. An authenticated request removes the uploaded avatar and then asks the authentication service to delete your account. If either step fails, the request is not completed and can be retried. This process does not by itself establish the deletion schedule for every related database record, service provider, or backup.

We may retain limited information where required by law or needed to document deletion requests, investigate security incidents, protect the Services, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Provider-specific retention periods and encrypted-backup recovery cycles must be confirmed before public distribution.

Your choices and rights

You can review or update some preferences in the app and withdraw leaderboard enrollment. You can request account deletion while signed in through the app or the website’s Delete Account page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. Contact superzhaolongdev@126.com for privacy requests.

Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for adults aged 18 or older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact superzhaolongdev@126.com if you believe a child has provided information to Mewvori.

Security and changes

We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit and at rest for cloud data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

We may update this Policy as the Services or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above and provide an in-app notice when a material change requires one.
